Knight, Todd McAffrey & James Maxey F.Books: Dragons of Pern, Dragon Champion, Fell, Black Beauty, Harry Potter and Jurassic Park Info: I first found the book, Dragonforge on a shelf in my favourite bookstore. Waterstones. You know the saying, "Never judge a book by its cover" but this one really intrigued me, it was not only very well done but you'd have the urge to find out whom the mysterious coverette was. Thus I began the first chapter and was instantly hooked, I had to buy the book! When I was finished reading Dragonforge, I decided to look up on the internet if there was anymore seeing as it didn't seem like a stand alone book to me. Alas, I found that it had a predecessor which excited me, "Bitterwood". I instantly ordered it and went about seeking anymore information the books themselves. There wasn't much Bitterwood, related information on the net, I found this disappointing as the world is so unique and it drags you in, its a wonder so few people know about it It was then I decided the best way other than word of mouth, and advertising would be to build a Website to entice and attract fans into wanting to know more about the series as well as discuss the books, etc; in a commonplace, thus the Bitterwood forums & Website were made. |
